| Global Car Insurance Coverage & Benefits

Please note, Worldwide Car Insurance is an added layer of protection and is not a substitute for third-party liability insurance (many countries’ legal minimum). Clements provides local third-party liability insurance in select countries. Otherwise, you will need to obtain third-party liability insurance through local carriers.

Policy documents are in English and claims are handled in-house with a commitment to quick and efficient processing.

| Excess Liability Coverage

Ever wonder if the minimum required local third party liability coverage will be enough? Avoid being underinsured and financially liable for accidents with our excess liability protection. You will be covered for liability resulting from bodily injury and/or property damage to others at a much higher level of protection and avoiding any gap in coverage.

What Does Excess Liability Coverage Do?

If your third-party liability insurance is not enough to cover costs resulting from bodily injury and/or property damage to others, this coverage provides protection for those gaps, keeping you fully protected.

Excess Liability is designed to cover insurance gaps and is stacked on top of third-party liability coverage. It extends the protection of your third-party liability insurance to protect you from costs associated with bodily injury and property damage.

Drivers typically receive coverage up to USD 500,000 to 1,000,000, helping to shield you from financial liability. This supplemental insurance also covers property damage, whereas the local policy does not.

Please note that Excess Liability Coverage is not available in the U.S., Canada, the driver’s home country, or sanctioned countries.

| FAQs

  • Excess Liability policies are a good idea for any driver who wants ultimate liability protection, as this coverage protects you from financial liability in case you owe money for bodily harm and/or property damage after your third-party liability insurance has paid out. Excess Liability policies are meant to cover gaps in insurance.

Some parts of the world (such as the U.S. or UK) have higher liability limits, keeping the insured generally protected; however, other countries’ lower liability limits leave drivers more financially exposed, especially if policy limits are under USD 500,000 or are payable in potentially unstable currencies.

Clements’ Excess Liability Policy is not a substitute for third-party liability insurance, but it is designed to protect you against low coverage and is payable in U.S. dollars and other major currencies.
  • This is just another term for an excess liability policy.
  • A physical damage policy will protect you against the cost of vehicle damage from an accident or theft. Third-party liability policies cover your costs against injury and property damage of others, including potential legal expenses.
